The Pinch Hitter course is a two-day event. Day one will consist of four hours of ground instruction on basic aircraft operations, communication with air traffic controllers, aircraft systems and navigation. After a lunch break the student will spend 3 hours in an AATD motion simulator practicing the information presented in the ground lesson.
Day two will consist of four hours of classroom instruction on emergency scenarios, review of information from day one and simulator training. After lunch the student will spend two and a half hours in an aircraft flying and practicing the skills learned. (If desired, more flight time can be scheduled)
